A big part of safeguarding is to make sure that our students know how to keep themselves and others safe. We do lots of work with students through assemblies and PSHE to raise their awareness of the need and also develop their ability to be safe. Anti-bullying and online safety are just two areas that we have addressed with students this year.
We know that parents want to be actively involved in knowing how to keep their sons and daughters safe and that’s why we have put lots of links below to give you access to information and resources that you may find useful.
In addition, having surveyed parents to find out what E-Safety issues you would like to get some advice and information about, we will be running a range of sessions during Parent Consultation Evenings across the year to support you in keeping your children safe. Further details regarding these sessions will be sent home before Parents Evenings and will be also published on our website.
A booklet for parents, ‘Safe and Switched On’ has been produced by our Safeguarding Team to offer practical information and guidance relating E-Safety issues.
A paper copy will be sent home shortly but the booklet can also be downloaded from the link below.
