Copleston High School

Radicalisation

The following website provides some very useful information for parents along with some additonal information:

You can find information here about why a young person might be drawn towards extremist ideas, how this might happen via the Internet and other sources of media, through interaction with peers, the TV and how parents can support their young people to stay safe.

You can also see what we are doing with the young people in school to raise their awareness of extremism and radicalisation. All staff have also received training about this issue and know how to pass on any concerns they have about a young person.

If you have any concerns that your child is being influenced by others in any way, please get in touch with the school and our Safeguarding Team will discuss your concerns with you. Alternatively, you can contact Customer First on 0808 800 4005 to report any concern about the safety or well-being of a young person. In an emergency you should call 999.
